New York-based Photographer Fernando Colón has shot professionally since 1998. His career began in San Juan, Puerto Rico while studying Visual Arts at Sagrado Corazón University. His Fashion and Celebrity Portraits were published monthly from 1998-2000 for "EnPunto Magazine". In 2000 he entered into a contract with Public Relations firm Wing Latino Group/West Indies & Grey, to cover all sponsored events under their Coors Light account including fashion shows, sporting events, and concerts.

Establishing permanent residence in New York City in 2001, he focused his work on Fashion while working as a test photographer for emerging models. He has since produced countless images for designers, catalogs, and magazine editorials. Fernando is also a fixture at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York & Miami where his runway and backstage images are commissioned by designers and or media publications.

Beyond New York, his work has taken him to London, Buenos Aires, and Tokyo. He is known for his unique lighting and image composition styles which bring out the striking beauty of his subjects.
